Ive got some shark pics when i went scuba diving with them. But the they came out so bad cause i bought one of those disposable underwater cams. Photos came out like crap.

This is why I do all my surfing from my computer chair where I look nothing like a seal to anything higher on the foodchain than myself.

Haha, i too prefer your safer version of surfing, although even in this sport I have fallen victim many times to various other things......
- Back Pain
- Boa on the Keyboard, or around the neck
- Long periods of wasting time
- Not doing homework
- etc.....
Lol, much better than what could happen to that guy up there though!

Always swim or surf with a buddy that you are much faster than. You can never outswim the shark...but if you can outswim your buddy then everything might be ok...at least for you.

Get off the board and just float still, the less movement the better.

Good to know its a dolphin, for the surfers sake anyway, how do you know?
Also to JS, what if the shark is the kind who likes a challenge? Might leave your slow friend behind and chase you down!

You know when I first saw the picture my initial reaction was to say "Man thats a big dolphin". But I ended up not posting it thinking that there could actually be a Shark with a fin and tail shaped like that

If it's a dolphin(and the dorsal fin does look kinda dolphinish) then it's a photoshop job or a very large dolphin.

Yep, that second image shows the tail much more clearly.

That must be pretty cool. Id get off my board and go check it out maybe hitch a ride. I've seen a dolphin a bit smaller when I was scuba diving.

Yah that second picture made a huge difference...the hump infront of the tail even the dorsal fin looks more distinctive...in the first photo it's hard to even tell if the tail is upright or down flat...very impressive. I just read the caption I think and never questioned it. Now after looking closer 2 other things glare out at me. No second dorsal or pectral fins...and no dark stain on the back of the surfer's wet suit. Also, things look amplified a bit when underwater. I thought at first there was more distance between the animal and the man than there really is...he is right on top of it almost so given that it's probably magnified a bit, it's probably just 7 or 8 feet or so of flipper.

I just realized something... Need to be careful in the posting of copyrighted materials, as in getting the owners permissions etc.
