yeah I do the opposingmuscle super sets---chest and back---deltoids and tri's---legs compounds super w/ calf----legs isolated muscles supered with stomach
Drop set is when you are at your last 2 sets of any exercise and you push youself until
yourspend...have someone handy to take the weight off the machine---cutting it back to half ---squeez out few more....then drop it down even more down to nothing...you would be shocked at how heavy they feel and how sore you get from that workout......

One of the main advantages to negative training is the mental aspect. Nothing worse than getting up on the platform get over the weight stepping back and thinking "holly crap this is heavy!" Negative training lets you get a feel and become accustomed to extra heavy weight, this way when you step back to squat your new max the mind says "This ain't nothin'" and hopefully the body follows.
With forced reps I never know how much I'm lifting or how much the other person is helping. Spotters should only be used in emergencies or to move the bar for you. Weight lifting is not a team sport!
I do not wrap my knees, wear a lifting belt, wear bench shirts, super suits or use any of that wearable assistance gear. Companies like Inzer ( http://www.inzernet.com/) have perverted a simple sport of strength into a high-tech battle of wearable assistance gear. Powerlifting (weight lifting) should only include the person and the weight.

Ahhh oK Now i recall them. i never really did that. Only a couple times. Nevfer really had a dedicated work out partner, and i usually went at odd times, and i hated bugging peple for a spot. Unless i knew it was going to be risky. I guess i just never felt the need to push that much.
i was never in it for the power or to be competative. I just did it at first to get in shape, then once i was in desent shape i did it cuz i was addicted and needed to to it. Some muscle groups i rarely if ever worked mostly the "detail' muscles, like the seratus(sp)
i always stuck with the majors, except i never worked my legs, just rode the bike for that. Could never find pants that fit in the legs. If i worked my legs like i should have I'd perpanently wearing baggies.
Growing up i always remembered Tom Platz and i thought that if i worked them hard my legs would get that size and i hated it.lol

John
Mental is so important in weight training.....so I will definately give this a shot, as soon as I find people who I can trust with the weight. I find it hard to trust anyone who does not lift at least as much as I lift---these guys who squat like 100 pounds and then ask me if I need help make me laugh

I have always felt belts and wraps to be a major crutch....allowing your body to get used to something artificial instead of depending on your own musculature. I feel that by building the muscles around your knees you were building a sort of brace---by wearing wraps it seems you create an imbalance.
I had so many people telling me I was going to hurt myself that I got scared into buying the wraps and it just felt so strange I could not do my reps...

John you have a very valid point. You really dont knowhow much they are actually helping. I know its not a team sport. just using it as a training method i dont see a problem with it. Just like with weight stripping, to get more reps out, you still need 2 people to strip the weights off. One of my pet peeve with training partners is the ones that wont let you get into your own litle world and like to bug you allot. Thats alost why I never really did training partners.
