snake sausages
I was reading about the sausages that are made for snakes and made up of mouse parts??? What would be the reason to use mouse hotdogs...I don't get it.
Also I heard from someone online that some snake keepers have sucessfully got their snakes to eat raw chicken.....and that some are up in arms that anyone would try such a thing. I know louise just posted a similar question but why would a snake eat a chicken cutlet? I thought it had to smell rodent-like?

Some snakes prefer reptiles, but that is an expensive appetite. So to get them to change over to mice/rats, you wrap the mice/rats in a shed. As for chicken, some likes love birds more than anything, just ask BW about his yellow rat, there was a time when it would only eat quail!!

Feeding fowl isn't recommended on a regular basis because their stool gets soft and really, really, really stinky!!! lol

Lots feed chicken cutlets to snakes.... just assume you are passing salmonella to the snake when you feed fowl and ensure yourself of the cleanliness protocol for yourself.
Live or fresh killed fowl also carry the risk of coccidia, another nasty parasite.
