wouldn't it be easier to inject a pinky/mouse/rat with vitamins and feed?

If the rodent was properly cared for and fed a good diet, no supplimentation should be necessary.

Ravnos--what type of bat is that on your avatar? Is this an interest for you? I ask because my daughter has expressed an interest in bats...and I know nothing.
Hope it doesn't affect me like the reptiles did

Its an Egyptian Fruit Bat (Rousettus aegyptiacus) named Filbert. Definitely an interest of mine.
The sausages are linked together, like sausages you might buy for human consumption. So you can effectively leave two attached, so if the snake takes one, it is forced to eat both whether it wants to or not.
I still don't see the point.

I fed those too some cal kings once, and they all had runny tan poo for a few days.
Stick with rodents.

Any drastic change in diet is going to cause a change in bowel movement consistency. You're going from feeding a high quality rodent, with fiber (stomach contents) and a good amount of real meat - to a processed pile of chicken byproducts (for those that may not know, by products are generally whatever is leftover after all the edible parts are already used) pumped with vitamins and artificial scenting/flavoring to try and make them somewhat palatable. My guess is that it would take at least a half dozen feedings to acclimatize an animal that had never been fed them before.
Regardless... rodents are cheaper, easier to come by, and healthier... why bother?

how does anyone know what any of these places do with their rodents before they kill them? How do we know they are healthy?
