I noticed it was down today, and was hoping it was just temporary. I never posted much, but read the board every day. It was a great resource, and will be missed.

Well at least the site is still up. neve ventured to their forums. But still thats not a good thing that its gone. Any reason why?

The message board no longer is. I certainly appreciate everybody who made
that board great and all their time, effort and contributions. I
understand all the love and care that we all have for these amazing animals
and certainly hope that the popularity and standard of care for these
animals continues to rise.

As I mentioned on the board, I don't like being cussed at or having my
manhood, diginty, integrity questioned. It is/was not just one person
doing this. Several people have e-mailed me privately and done so in
rather insulting ways sometimes. I've done my best not to make these
e-mails public but it's been extremely frustrating to try to provide a
service and have people want things their way ALL the time but to question
what kind of person you are. I have continued to receive these e-mails
even since my last post on the board. I believe that this is the only way
to resolve this issue. Even if I assigned moderators, I guarantee you that
I would still get angy e-mails because of something the moderator did or
did not do.

I must add that several have e-mailed me and been very pleasant about their
problems with the board. To those of you who were pleasant, I appreciate it.

Could I have made things better? Absolutely and some things I should have
done from the beginning but I never did or was late in doing it. I made
the mistake of thinking that people (even those who disagree) could be
civil - especially with the commonly shared passion for tree boas.

All of those other forums now linked on the site, as well as this list,
are moderated . They are all better than the Corallus.com forum.

Thats a shame. To lose a valuable source of information, form what seems to be childish acts. Unfortunately you don't need a permit or any kind of a clue to be on the internet. One persons sick idea of a chuckle, causes many serious information seekers to lose out.
