math wizards!
ok, idont actually need a wizard. just someone with most of their brain cells intact. unfortunately, due to poor recreational choices during the 70s and 80s, whatever speck of math apptitude i once had has receeded to an unreachable level.heres the problem;
8 pcs 10 3/4 x 29 3/8
8 pcs 14 3/4 x 29 3/8
dimensions are in inches
im converting to carpet substrate
how many sqr. yds. needed?
quickly, this is atimed exersise and you will be graded on accuracy and speed, unlike my crappy typing lol. in advance, thanx for the help.

If you just need enough carpeting to cover the tops of those pieces my calculations show you would need 749.0625 sq ft. of carpeting, which is about 83.23 sq. yds. of it. You may want to get a bit more though to make up for any errors, plus the fact that when you cut it to fit one thing you might not leave leftovers big enough to cover some of the last ones you cover.

I see, then the figures I gave ya up there should be correct, but like I said, thats EXACT numbers. You'll want to buy more just in case you cut something wrong or in case at the end you have scraps leftover big enough to fit in the last cage, but don't want scraps, I'm sure, but whole pieces instead!
