THEY CARE?

I was looking to see what went on at these roundups.I know what they are doing is wrong,but went to the site to see what they claimed to be "humane".

On the main page it says:
"Since 1974, proceeds from this event have benefited the Sunshine Inn for the mentally handicapped, Boy Scouts, youth activities, Special Olympics, MDA, Thanksgiving Day feast for the homeless, and many more."
Just b/c you give to a worthy cause doesn't make what you are doing right!! I have a mentally hadicapped son and I would no more want money from and event like this as I would want money from drugs!!
They claim that the reason is to keep the population down.Well the population of cats here is out of control (I know I feed about 10 strays myself).So am I supposed to catch the cats tourture and "charm" them,kill them by chopping off their heads,then cook them?
This just makes my sick. Just because some ppl don't like snakes is no reason to kill them. Why b/c snakes are different?Well so is my 4 year old,but I love him more than I love myself!!I am sorry I just had to throw my 2 cents worth in.Discrimination in any form is just wrong!!!

I think we all agree with you on this one. It doesn't matter what they are doin with the money, like you said it's no better than drug money. Maybe worse. At least drug money is exchanged among people who want the drugs. These snakes surely don't wanna be involved in the roundups.

I agree, no matter how much you hide the nasty the nasty is still there. Just think how fast I would get shut down and jailed if I put on a CAT roundup!

Never know, all I know is, I hear time after time about people being put in jail for killing a cat or a dog. "Oh that poor dog... where is the owner... GET HIM!"

makes me sick, yes all critters are special, they all need respect and to kill one because it MIGHT kill you if your stupid is just wrong.

and that is the sad part they would put you in jail for harming a cat or dog!i don't have any hots nor do i plan on getting them i respect them and would never attempt to keep one but nor would i kill one!just sad thank goodness there are ppl out there like ppl on this site that are willing to speak for those who can't.my son can't speak he does sign but i still have to speak for him no reason to dislike him.and belive me i have come across some rude ppl in my day.
and toker if you want a cat roundup just come to my house i have plenty!!there is a invisible sign somewhere on my house that says"Bonny's soup kitchen for stray animals" i feed all kind of strays!even have a red fox come up for some grub!!so beautiful!!

oh...I'm very serious...but you would have to find participants and someone willing to go to jail for setting it up.
