LMAO...that a use I had not thought of Brett...I think I'm gonna go buy one for that!
Louise...I'm not attacking Rob...just trying to change his mind!
As a side note Rob...I will not buy from anyone that sells them if I can possibly avoid it. I guess if I was honest though, I have never found anywhere that doesn't...but then again, that's why I don't buy from petco's and the like.
Again man...I'm not jumping on you...but as a consumer, you have to let your retailers know what you want...right?

It came with a exoterra 8 ft plano gram. That means I pretty much got it in a package deal. I have only sold 1 heat rock in the last year, because I highly recomend against them
|
that means that They came no matter what with a planogram. Now I have heard a ton of debates that say that these rocks have a use with desert lizards. Bearded dragons and what not. these are also "temperature regulated". You can also put a rheostat on these. They are not just a short circut shoved in plaster that gets to 200f like the old school ones.
I am not justifying the use of these at all. I do just the opposite every time someone brings one up. If I get a used setup with a heat rock in it I cut the cord off and sell it as cage deco.

as far as the wholesalers go I told the exoterra rep right to his face that heat rocks are garbage and that I will not sell them. I also told him that i would never order more of them either. As far as not buying things from petco or petsmart.. Just the simple fact that they get animals from APET (a very bad wholesaler who mass produces sm animals and inhumanly keeps hundreds of animals in tiny cages) not to mention that they are killing off all of the good LPS (local pet shops) by selling sick animals for less then I/We sell healty ones. Next time your in a petco ask them the proper humidity levels for a redtail and what their max size is and watch as the poor kid runs for a book or the manager.

I once... knew a guy.. yeah that's it... that walked into a petsmart and was so ticked off by the hot rocks in all the cages that he cut all the cords. I ... ummm ... wish I could have been there for that. Must have been really fun and rewarding.
