i figured with the current events i'd create a post for this that way everyone can post there opinion and let it be known (keep it clean and NO flaming)

truthfully i'm glad they caught the *bleep* hopefully osama's right behind him......the one thing im wondering about is...why'd he give in so easily no fight or anything something about thats not sitting right for some reason i was thinkin he'd end up either a) go out hitler style or b) put up a heck of a fight or run or something.... i think there is more to this story then the news is saying i'm wondering if this was planned to get our gaurd down for something bigger.......

Lotsa crimes are commited every day and the smoking gun is never found. Just ask any Kurd in Northern Iraq if he has/had chemical weapons. Just because someone hides something well doesn't mean it never existed. I really don't see a need to find them other than to be able to destroy them if they aren't already so that they aren't used later. If they already are destroyed...good. I'd rather them be gone and stay gone than to have proof.

Im with faze and Julius. Even if they weren't after weapons in the first place. Some one had to get the p.o.s. out of there.

So let me get this straight. Since this war was over Saddam having them and it turns out that so far they don't and any edvidence of them has been that they've been destroyed for a while and he's the bad guy?

As for why he is in power, well he got in due to the american government meddling with Iraqi affairs in the first place.

Actually they were after weapons in the first place. Thats what this war was being sold to the public as. Even though we know bush was really after Saddam.

And I guess that would be the USA's job to decide the leaders of foreign countries, wouldn't it. Just like the way they've meddled with countries in south america.

Hey KL The Guy is nuts. And a threat to more than just his own people. So getting rid of him is a must, if this world is to survive. This terrorist stuff is getting out of hand and will only get worse. So the US did the right thing here. God knows you couldn't leave it up to Canada

If I understood all this correctly he seems to have been in hiding there for quite some time. If this is the case, than who's been giving the orders? And since that doesn't seem to be the point, as he is still considered the leader, than what comes next? Hoping he gives up the info on weapons of mass distruction? I thought we'd (our troops) been searching all this time and still hadn't found anything. Don't get me wrong, I'm very glad he was finally caught. But now what? What does our Government do with him now that they have him? I have a few ideas, and it surprises me that none of them were implemented upon finding him. It just doesn't sit well in my stomach, I guess. It seems too easy...

Not to burst your bubble or anything...but they have already found illegal weapons (Not WOMD) he should of not had in the first place. They found missles that broke the law set by the UN. This right here in my opinion is enough reason for us to go in there and do what we did. He broke the UN laws left and right and got away with it for 13 years. Now we step in and do something about it, and a bunch of whiney liberal Bush haters come in and talk crap saying where's the WOMD. Who gives a rats butt about the WOMD, we have captured one of the most ruthless dictators in the world.

One last thing, do you even know why we did what we did with Iraq "when the american government meddled in" way back then? Probally not, I hear this stupid argument all the time. People hear this on some liberal tv show or radio station but really have no idea what was going on then. Prove me wrong and come in here and explain exactly what happened and I will be ok with your argument.

Sorry to rant but I am getting sick and tired of people talking crap about what we did. We have liberated a country once again and all we are getting is a bunch of buttheads saying that America sux and we have no right and Bush is the dumbest president ever bla bla bla. Go live in Canada or France...they all agree with these liberal buttheads and also talk smack. But who helped the French get to where they are?

well im sure there are things that occured and they wont tell us. thats the way it always is. im happy they caught him. america isnt all that bad now..after all, it is the land of the free.
