Maybe not collect, but I have all the basics.... (ok, I collect!) It's been a while since I had time or money to dedicate to them.

A question for you and whomever else may collect them.. What do you suggest??
I've got some DBZ, FLCL, Hellsing, 3x3 eyes, and Inu-yasha.. Been borrowing some from a friend (Rocky5mew) , and I think she's created a new obsession for me..lol

Princess Mononoke is my fav movie of all time... spirited away is another sweet movie... i love escaflowne--- the movie and the series... uh... DBZ will always be the staple though... other stuff comes and goes but you will always have the DB series to swoon over....
really OT...
anybody else notice how much the last battle between neo and agent smith in matrix revolutions seemed just like most every DBZ battle ever...
i think the technology has come to the point where a live action DBZ movie could be done well... i expect one out of japan within the next 5-10 years... the plot of it though is an issue, so who knows? the animated movies and GT destroyed any chances of a decent original plot in a live action movie ... oy... *shrugs*

Finally, a subject I know something about! I've been into anime a good while, mostly YuGiOh and YuYuHakusho lately, but I was in love with Trigun and Cowboy Bebop awhile (can't stay up that late anymore, lol) ONe thing I reccomend is the manga anthology Shonen Jump, it's a monthly magazine available for like $5, and most of the backissues should be available on Ebay. GTO is good, too, my brother and I are collecting the books. I've also heard good things abouyt Star Ocean, Orphen, and Irresponsible Captain Tylor, but don't know enough to reccomend.

ugh, on my last pc i could give you a list of anime that would rival most movie stores.i had 240 gigs of anime on it. but since it died no way for me to get them back T.T
but try berserk thats a decent one , i noticed you mentioned hellsing, another excellent choice. hmmmm lemme list some good ones off the top of my head.
bubble gum crisis
patlabor
soul diver
ghost in the shell <- an absolute necessity!
akira <-same as above
cowboy bebop
macross/super macross
DB/DBZ/DB GT
king of fighters
street fighter
samurai showdown
darkstalkers
Vampire hunter D
X
Legend of the overfiend <- very explicit like,is classified as hentai or anime porn.very violent as well.not recomended for any 1 under 18 years of age.
the list goes on and on. im sure given enough time i could remember alot more , but i have other things to do! lol. really just go to like FYE and browse through their anime collection. im sure you will find something wothwhile. god knows thats how i started. also try manga.com and pioneeranimation.com <- might be wrong addy cant remember. also sputnik7.com has some anime you can watch there. used to have a huge selection but not anymore.

I'm not into anime/manga much. But, an old friend in college got me hooked on Ranma 1/2. I like DBZ also, but that's about it.

Ranma is funny as #$%^$%^$%^$%^&, man. Also, if you get Cartoon Network or Tech TV, CN has sone decent anime on late at night, and Tech does too, but I've only seen it sporadicall and have no clue when or what they have. At last check CN was running anime on Adult swim starting something like 11pm, Trigun, FLCL, Big O and InuYasha I think, but they may have changed the lineup on me.

Dude, I need slapped. I totally forgot Rurouni Kenshin, sometimes sold as Samurai X, the story of a former assassin trying to live in the Meiji era. It's really cool, and a fanfiction from it was the source of my sig line. I need sleep or something.

i need slapped as well! i forgot escaflowne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how in the word did i ever forget that! but as a side note there is really too much anime to remeber them all.ive listed some good ones tho and other users have mentioned some that i forgot. and here is the absolye biggest insult to my amime collecting colleagues. i forgot one of the top 3 all time greats........Ninja Scroll.......please dont yell at me. the voices in my head are already doing that for you! the more i think the more i remeber.heres a few more.
redhawk
sword for truth
ninja resserection
Bastard <- dunno if filter will allow that tho if not bast-ard
gun smith cats
appleseed
blue seed
argus 01<- mispelled i know it is,but it is something similar to that
devilman
mad bull
ok, thats it for now, the voices seem satisfied. gimmie another few hours and they will be screaming again.
