Excellent! knowledge is not necessary, but information searching skills are.
but, if you can type www.google.com, I think that's all you'll need.
I will contact you both very soon.

Ok, I give up. I cannot get the information I need to get started after repeated requests.
It was a nice idea.....

Righto Ben! My hand is up too! I'm really kind of an amateur, but I'll love to help! What can I do? Southeast Asian herps? Photos? I stink at computers and webpage designing, but I can at least come up with input.
Come on RTB, let's not let this project die, it's really a great idea, and we can put all of what we have learnt, experienced and what we enjoy, herping, for the world to see. Riley, I know you're really disappointed, but we can and should still try.
I'm sure that there are many here who can't wait to do their part, whether we are newbies or admin. There's plenty of eager people and lovely resources here at RTB; we can really share a lot. We ARE the biggest herp community online after all, and with 2000 herpers all over the world (see like Ben's from Austrailia, I'm from Singapore), we can make the most fantastic herp encyclopedia ever seen.

Sorry Ben, that should be "Australia" ...
Riley, I don't think we even need google.com. We've all got plenty of connections in our local herping circles, and we all read up a whole lot, and we all get a hand in our local herp activities. I think from head knowledge alone, we'll have enough to fill up a couple of volumes.
Do you want us to start sending you stuff? For myself, I can put in my part on Southeast Asian herps, I have plenty of digital pix that I've taken (especially some on Ahaetulla prasina, cos I caught one guy just across the road from my place in July, and Chinese softshells, cos that's what I keep), and if you like, I'll start writing right now.
