Do snakes fart?
i reckon they do. or, possibly they don't. or they would... you ever thought about why snakes have no eyelids? i have. i've been thinking about it for several seconds... and i've come up with this:
they DONT fart.
REASON 1: no eyelids.
REASON 2: they don't smell.
REASON 3: they never sigh contentedly.
you want an explanation for reason 1? seriously? okay....
snakes DO have eyelids. oh yes. *nods* they do. BUT, they are constantly straining to expell farts... with all this straining their eyes BULGE with the effort... yet, sadly, it is an effort that never comes to fruition...
only when they poo, i have decided... it is only then that the colonic pressure is released momentarily and they blink... just once... with relief... then... immediately the pent up gases taunt them again and their eyes resume their bulging status.
snakes: life aint easy for them. constant colonic struggle. maybe that's why we love them so.
and we do love them. oh yes. *nods* we do.

Actually i have a snake that farts. When a coral snake is aggitated it builds up pressure in its cloaca and releases with a snapping sound several time. Wierd to watch. |

maybe it does have a smell... maybe it's a smell that only other snakes can smell... maybe snakes lay around in their vivs all day chatting about how pointless human farts are... seeing as they don't smell... yeah... they sit around chatting and then going.. "Ewwww!!! which one of you cut the cheese?" and they all look at each other innocently...
