Hey guys its Natas.
Yes the site has been going up and down lately and I just found the issue. I host a few other sites on this machine and one of those sites has some naughty code that kept writing to a tmp directory and filling up hard drive space.
Anyway the problem is fixed and it shouldn't happen anymore
I plan to upgrade the website this weekend to the latest version of postnuke. The only thing that has stopped me in the past was the forum. We use a old version of PHPbb (1.4) and no one has ported this to the latest postnuke.
I started writing a conversion script today that will hopefully convert this data into the latest version of PHPBB 2.0. Right now I am testing this out on http://redtailboa.net/~test/ so if you wanna see my progress on site conversion go there. Once I get the site converted over I am going to run the conversion script 2 times before I go live to make sure there are no gotcha's.
Some things maybe missing in the begging...but will be fixed and patched as we go.
Future of RTB:
I really want to do a few things. First I am going to start by looking for a few PHP/MYSQL gurus to help me get this site administered better. I have been absent way to much and I personally think its hurting the site. I want the site to be upgraded and working well.
I also want to give admins access to a perminent paypal account that will fund the site for other things. RIght now the only funding I use is to pay for the site. If we generate more money we can advertise on other sites that require us to pay, be present at herp shows and even advertise in magazines.
Our community is big and I dont want to loose everyone to my lack up being a bad admin. If you guys have any suggestion post them here. I want Redtailboa.net to grow like it was growing a year ago.
Last excuse my spelling...you guys all know I am a tard when it comes to that

well...11:30 pm is too late for me any night except Fri, Sat. I have to be up and at work by 6am every day so anything later than 9pm is too late for me.
I think a weekend night is giong to work best for the most people. It usually does.

I can usually be here pretty much anytime. Give me plenty of warning so I can make up a good excuse if I miss it

An update is what's been needed for a while now.
As for you being a bad amin, heck no, some of us know that you got a lot more work dropped on your lap a while back along with hookin up with someone new, you have a life too ya know and besides, if it wasn't for you, none of this would exist, period.
Now stick around and let us know how ya been doing!
