Hello. I just returned from picking up a large female Rat. Not sre what kind? If it is any kind LOL. Shes nice and big I'm gonna be picking up a male tomorrow morning!
LIke her? Shes a sweetie(sorta). But she'll get better with some good hand feeding.
OH I got her name from The Rescuers Down Under. A movie placed in australia. There are two main characters (Bernard & Bianca) They are mice(I KNOW I HAVE RATS). LOL Well its pretty cool some Frilled Dragons, and a big Goanna in iT!!!!!! lol
Tell me what ya think of her

I believe they call that a hooded rat. I've kept a few as pets. I think you should just keep buying your rats already dead and frozen. It's so much easier that way.

FYI, breeding and keeping rats for feeders is a pretty stinky business! Reptiles are nothing compared to rodents for invasive odor IMHO!

I don't know poo about rats but I don't think that a hooded rat is a species per say. It's just a description of the rats coloration. I don't know...maybe I'm wrong. Someone please correct me if I'm off here.

You are breeding for feeders, right? As long as you aren't trying to mix a hooded with a blue or something like that.... a regular white rat will do
