Are you Ready for some Football?
Regular season is finally upon us. This Thursday night the Vikings take on the Super Bowl Champion Saints in what promises to be a great game.
Myself, I am a Titans fan and I am both excited and apprehensive about the upcoming season. If we start out 0-6 again, I will be an unhappy boy indeed. I am thrilled about our entire offense, but I am afraid that they have failed to re-sign too many key free agents in the off season on defense.
So who is your team and what do you think of their chances this year?

The lions looked tough in pre-season. At least tougher than usual!

Eh, we'll see. I'd be surprised if they made a big turn-around. After the last few years though, I suppose anything would be an improvement. I honestly do not follow football at all, I just know the Lion suck major. Hockey season is all I care about

I am excited! I never know what to expect from the Raiders year in and year out. They seem to be either Really Hot or Really cold.
I wish your Raiders all the best, but I want week 1 to be your big loss that serves as a wake up call and turns your season around.

The bucs make me sad. They had such a dominant defense back in the 90's back when Tony Dungy was at the helm and then a great team all around in the early 2000's under Gruden... then it seems to have been a gradual decline.

Go pats!
I think our offense will be good and the defense will be crap. hopefully i am wrong about the young defense.

Re: Are you Ready for some Football?
I have two teams.
Go Patriots, and the Colts
However if when they do meet up, I'm going for the Colts

Morti, because I adore and respect you, I promise I will do my best not to bring up the Pats blowout against Tennessee last year.

Re: Are you Ready for some Football?
Without that absolute trouncing that turned the Titan's season around last year, who knows how bad we would have ended up.
Edited to add: I still don't hate the Pats as much as I hate the Rams... and it's been 11 years. I don't hold a grudge... much.

I am really hoping they will do halfway decent. Right now I cant even watch the games. The games are blacked out because they arent selling enough tickets. Alot of Tampa fans are fair weather fans. Eight years ago you were lucky if you were able to get tickets. Man do I miss the early 2000's. The good ol days with Alstot and Sapp puttin on a show.

Re: Are you Ready for some Football?
I live outside the Tennessee viewing area, so I can see my games if I travel to a sports bar, but the Titans have sold out every regular season game, so no worries for the Nashville Area residents either.

GO TEXANS!!! And believe it or not, I HATE THE COWBOYS (even more than I hate the Colts ).
I think if Houston stays healthy they'll make the playoffs this year. They have an offense that can put up huge numbers and it looks like they improved on defense. I can't wait to hear "Shaub to Johnson... TOUCHDOWN!!!".
However, even though Houston should be better, I predict that the Jets are going to take the AFC crown and face either the Saints or the Vikings in the Superbowl. That Jets team is just plain nasty and their QB is a little more seasoned now.
lol Lions
lol Raiders

And I can't wait to hear "Chris Johnson breaks free of the tackle... no one in front of him... No One Will Catch him! Touchdown! That puts his total rushing yards to 2,500 for the season".
