So OIF is supposidly over now...
Don't know how many of you pay attention to the OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom) stuff... But the general in charge handed over the colors (flag) to the Iraqi National Guard today... So now apparently everyone is suppose to be out by summer... Which is great, if they actually follow through this time... Hopefully they do! I would deff. not mind having Ryan home sooner than expected 
I will let y'all know if he does get to come home early  I'm sure I'll have a very happy thread when I get that news, lol

...Still waiting for our troops to leave Germany, Japan, and Italy. WWII had a terrible exit plan I suppose. Fun trivia...WWII was the last war fought by the United States of America.

lol... I know it's hard not to make it a political thread, but lets try... lol...
I know that deployments have been shortening a LOT lately... My unit came back after 10 months of deployment in Iraq... Other units have been coming back at 9 months... I'd be happy with ANY shortening 
So lets hope they decide to do their job lol
On a good note, it's VERY slow over there where he is... he is doing the exact same thing over there that he does over here... And after work I get to talk to him for about 6 hours out of the day on Skype So it's not TOO bad... Still just sucks he's not home

I know Rachel... I know how sometimes when the war topics are brought up they go a little crazy 
I just hope they do follow through Even 1 month, 2 months, etc. off the full deployment will make me happy

and thanks all... Hopefully within the next month or so we should know if it'll affect his unit and to what degree Those of you who have been in the military or attached to it know how long it takes to actually figure stuff out
