anyone want to help a teacher?
No, not me. A friend that teaches elementary school is wanting sheds for her class. She wants big ones. I'm donating a 4' long one but its not big enough.
So, if anyone has a large shed that they're willing to part with to help educate the future herpers, please send me a msg and I'll give you an address to mail it. if you're close to Augusta GA or Jacksonville FL, I can pick it up to save the shipping.
Info on the snake size (since we know the sheds stretch), species and age will be great. A pic of the snake would be a bonus.
thanks in advance.

Re: anyone want to help a teacher?
I have 4 of them. The sheds themselves are over 6' and possibly larger. I would be glad to send them if you send me a stamped, addressed package to mail them in.

I don't have time to get the materials. I'm pressed for time before my Costa Rica trip, and the post office takes forever. If you could send me a large padded stamped, addressed envelope, I will put the sheds in them and send them out from work next week. It's probably the only way I'd have time to do it. I hope they won't tear when being folded.

Re: anyone want to help a teacher?
If I can find a large padded envelope at work tomorrow, I can have it weighed at work and send it from there. I will look tomorrow.

I know the big ones are impressive, but I don't understand why she only wants big ones? They are ALL educational...?!?

Re: anyone want to help a teacher?
BTW, I just looked and I have 2 from my bci (6' or so...she is bigger now, but more recent sheds were trashed one way or another...) and for comparison, some smaller ones from my rosy boas (3') and ratsnakes (4' +, two bigger ones but one missing the head, the other the tail...). ???

If you pm me the address, I'll see what I can do to get this package sent out this week (no promises--depends if I can find an envelope). The postage shouldn't be over a few dollars, but if it is, we can worry about reimbursement later. The sheds are just lying on my counter, and I'd be glad to give them to someone who can use them.

Re: anyone want to help a teacher?
I just sent my two largest sheds to the address you gave me. I wrapped them in bubble wrap and put them in a huge manila envelope. It only cost $1.56 to send, so no reimbursement necessary. Let me know if they arrive in one piece.

willing to part with them? I know some people keep them for their records or just because.
I'm sure all will be appreciated, especially from different species.

Sure, that's why I posted that...
Who shall I send them to?
I don't always save them all anymore...I used to regularly do programs and handed them around! I find even many adults haven't seen them and learn something. (at least the ones that aren't fainting.... )

I may have a 5ft shed if you want it. It is not much but you are welcome to it if it helps.
