Definitely......
That's all. Just wanted to remind you all how to spell it.
DEFINITELY
NOT "definately" or "defiantly" or "deffinetly". There is no "A" in "DEFINITELY". If I see it spelled "definately" one more time, I will pluck my eyeballs out and post the pics.
Can we get a spelling forum here?

America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. – John Quincy Adams (1821)

*head desk*
Every time I see that word spelled wrong, I lose 10 IQ points. I'm almost into the negative now.

Darn straight. As soon as we get a spelling forum here, the next topic will be "there, their, and they're". By the law of probability, even if you GUESS, you should get it right 1/3 of the time. But they are used incorrectly about 70% of the time.
But we're jumping ahead. For now, we should limit the discussion to the correct spelling of "definitely". It's such a fun topic.

Re: Definitely......
I don't think it's confusion, Rachel. Most people are just too lazy to bother with the appostrophe.

What could possibly be confusing about "you're"...? It's short for "you are"! It's not really even short, LOL...let's abolish the word!?

How about knowing the difference between to, two and too? Some people even get THAT messed up.

How to put the correct answers per what type of presented question on standardized tests....teaching the tests, in other words...all so no child can be left behind. *eyeroll*
It really is a sad state of affairs.
