Well now Star I could've told you it was a squirrel...and man that thing is FAT (our squirrels only get to about large rat size)

Re: Mystery of the Broken Bird Feeder
Oh, they get much plumper than that around here! And wasn't it nice of me to give him a little ladder to climb up on to destroy my stuff? Doh!
I had bought the more expensive wild bird seeds, trying to attract some prettier birds. I have not seen a single bird anywhere near my patio.

Re: Mystery of the Broken Bird Feeder
Ever hear of a squirrel slingshot? I think it's quite cruel, but it sure is funny

Re: Mystery of the Broken Bird Feeder
I agree with the first part of what you said--it's cruel. I am not a fan of harming animals for sport. Now that I know they like to play with my stuff, I'll give them more stuff to play with. They are welcome to hang on my patio and entertain my cat. But they owe me $15 for a bird feeder.

Re: Mystery of the Broken Bird Feeder
Haha yeah I definitely would not use one myself. I was thinking more on the lines of maybe a hanging corncob feeder to challenge their minds and give them a little exercise

I will definitely do something like that. Did you see the other thread with the peanut tied to the end of the string? I think that would be hilarious.

Re: Mystery of the Broken Bird Feeder
No I will have to look. I would think it would be entertaining to give them a whole obstacle course, they're smart little buggers I'm sure they'd figure it out. I'll have to do that some day when I'm bored...will definitely take video

Squirrels are pretty entertaining, moreso than birds I think. Looks like I cannot have both on my patio. lol
