Oh I'm sorry for the comment then. The way I understood it was it was just a survey. Since it was directed twards a reptile community it is a very good one. And would be IMO a good one in other places too.I feel that in another forum you may get different results.

Yep, it was supposed to be used as a comparitor...same questions but one survey is posted here, and another is posted to the general populace to show the difference between the 2 groups

No prob! And thanks - I'm really curious to see what the results are going to be... I'll definitely let you guys know!
Oh! So, I had to ask my prof if I could bring in a snake with me during the presentation because she apparently had to check with the dean about bringing animals in (even though she was sitting in her office with her dog... lol). The dean said my snake had to be brought in in its own container (duh) and that the rest of the class had to be okay with it.
When she asked the class, if I could bring a snake in, she said, "would everyone be okay if Kaley brought in her 4 ft cobra for her presentation?'"
*cue shocked looks on my classmates faces*
...so I corrected her... " Boa constrictor...*facepalm*" lol
And it's this ridiculous ignorance that's part of my research... haha

Re: Take a Quick Survey for my Research Project! :)
On the question about how you react to seeing a snake in the wild, you should have had the option of trying to remain calm, but so excited on the inside that your hands are shaking when you finally ketch it. lol. That's what I would've picked anyway.

Well, I still waiting on the results of my other survey, then I have to analyze the data, and present it on Monday. So I can post everything I found out early next week (I'll be kinda busy with projects/studying up until then). But once I've got all my projects done for this week/next week, I will be glad to post the results!

Re: Take a Quick Survey for my Research Project! :)
I took it but was not happy with two questions so I left them blank:
For the question on whether or not snakes can hear? Can you define Hear?
"Snakes do, however, possess an inner ear with a functional cochlea." "Their ears are sensitive enough to not only “hear” the prey approaching, but also to allow the brain, i.e., the auditory system, to localize the direction it is coming from."
Snakes Locate Prey Through Vibration Waves
Are snakes cold blooded? Layman or zoological description?
"Snakes are reptiles, which means they are ectothermic: they get their body heat from external sources."
DECC | Snakes
