Was checking weather conditions in a few places around the world this morning and thought I'd report conditions in some of the Latin American areas where our beloved boas come from:

High: 88 degrees F
Low: 81 degrees F
Humidity: 70%
Partly cloudy

Leticia, Colombia
High: 85 degrees F
Low: 73 degrees F
Humidity: 40%
Scattered T-Storms

Paranam, Suriname
High: 86 degrees F
Low: 73 degrees F
Humidity: 84%
T-Storms

As a reminder; if you don't have permanently fixed thermometers and humidity gauges in your snake's enclosures, now's a good time to check your heating apparatuses and verify temps. and humidity. I know I tend to get a little complacent about checking conditions when things seem to be working fine week in and week out, but with our animals so dependent upon us never take anything for granted!!! That is very good info and a great reminder!

The guys in Columbia ought to check the hygrometer though... you would think that if they were having T-storms that they would have more than 40% humidity [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

I thought the same thing too, however they had forecast humidities in the 70% plus range in the upcoming days. Maybe it's a 'dry' rain there today!!! [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif[/img]
