With my snake's that is!!

Well first off I'd like to say nice meeting ya Jule's we had fun snake hunting and going out to eat with you and Constrictor_BO the other night!

Well Jule's came to my place today and sexed my snake's and boy was I surprized!!! Just going by size is not a sure way to tell the sex of a snake!! It turn's out that this was the outcome!!!

0.1 Ball Python this was my biggest surprize I was sure it was a boy but NO! Now G.U.S. turn's out to be Gussy!!

1.0 Albino Corn
1.0 Striped Cali-King
1.0 Jungle Carpet Python

Hi I was wondering what the other snakes were. I have a 3 week old ball python, and 2 colomubian redtail boas that are 2 months old and a 5 month old norm/yellow head Reticulated python.All of them except for the ball python are males I don't know about the ball python because it is still to young. I can see why ya thought the ball was a male. People tend to use the spur size as a guide. It can be fairly accurate but in Gussy's case....she has a very long spur (one is missing). But her abnormaly long spur would also be abnormaly thin for a male. it looks alot like a straight pin sticking out...not broad at the base. That short nubby tail is a clue though LOL....anyway, now that she is a she...she can begin self esteem recovery from years of being called a he. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img] Barry knows how to probe now, so he should be able to keep you guys straight.

Cool. Hopefully, once I get my life going after May, when I graduate, I'll get a chance to meet some of you guys. I haven't got a clue what my BP is, but I'm thinking a male. Actually, I read up on the males having smaller heads and the females having a much bigger head. I could be wrong, but this sounds pretty accurate to me.
