Re: This one's for the ladies!
Yes I sort of thought it was a bit overdone too, especially towards the end! But it is not too far from what it really was like in those days - take it from a survivor. I have one of those old fashion magazines of my mother's (who is now 89) from the 1950s and it's really similar in tone. Whoooof! Barf. What a piece of sick....but it's hilarious too.
My mother was totally servile to my father, being from that sad old time for women - but he was really very sweet to her and appreciated her. Towards the later part of their marriage, she became "downright feisty" which disconcerted him considerably. He used to call me and tell me that she "told me to shut up!!! Imagine!!!" He died last year at 91 and was so big in her life I don't know how she stands it. Married for 66 years.
This is not a hijack. Just a little side track.

Not on my part, and I'm the poster of the thread. I just found it amusing, the clash between mid-20th century society and their views on the way of women.
No offense meant to anyone. IMO, women have all the right in the world to get riled up over something like this. It's you fellas that should keep it clean.
Sorry to both sides in advance. Meant no disrespect (though I admittedly see none in evidence, just trying to cover all the bases )

Don't think so, you might have to do it yourself if she found out.

What the problem is? Why isn't this in the "How to: Tips and Tricks" section?

Are you suggesting this should be added to the list? Why not, right? Probably after the pillow is arranged, I'd say.

Re: This one's for the ladies!
If any man expected me to treat him like that, I'd stomp on his unmentionable parts and throw him out the door. I've been in relationships similar to this and they only lasted a couple months at best. I never knew until things progressed.
He will have a minimum of 48 hours to pick up his belongings on the curb before trash day. I have done this before.
Any woman who tolerates this behavior needs to grow some gumption and throw his butt on the curb.

No fuzzy chains here. Give me a tow chain, a cat 'o' ninetails, duct tape and a muzzle. And then I will drive him to the bad side of town and chain him to a light pole after dark.

Re: This one's for the ladies!
Oh come on ladies, here's a great little ditty from 1974 that should explain things better.
Put another log on the fire.
Cook me up some bacon and some beans.
And go out to the car and change the tire.
Wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans.
Come on, baby, you can fill my pipe
And then go fetch my slippers.
And boil me up another pot of tea.
Then put another log on the fire babe,
And come & tell me why you're leaving me.
Now don't I let you wash the car on Sunday?
And don't I warn you when you're gettin fat?
Ain't I a-gonna take you fishin' with me someday?
Well, a man can't love a woman more than that.
And ain't I always nice to your kid sister?
Don't I take her driving every night?
So, sit here at my feet cause I like you when you're sweet,
And you know it ain't feminine to fight.
So, put another log on the fire.
Digs a foxhole, finds body armor and prepares for the barage! You know I was just kidding!
