I'll fight for it, too. I may be small, but I'm scrappy!
That pic is a riot!!

Re: Firearms / Hunting Thread
Hemming on what I want as my next rifle....though when I'll get another one is up in the air. Right now I'm thinking one of three things:
-.338LM chambered bolt gun
-6.8mm Grendel AR
-.223 AR
Already have:
-.40sw handgun (stock) (500 rds)
-12ga (stock) (70 shells)
-7.62x54r M44 (unmatched numbers, stock) (470rds)
-.243Win Remington 770 (stock, wifes) (20rds)
-.177 Remingon pellet/bb gun
Trying to be a little more well rounded. Or should I focus on upgrading what I have and increasing ammo counts? I'm leaning more towards the 223AR but I just LOVE bolt guns.

Re: Firearms / Hunting Thread
I was in Maine recently and made the mistake of stopping at the local Cabelas. Left there with a Savage .17 HMR bolt action rifle in the grey laminated stock. Nice looking gun, although I had some chambering problems

That particular Cabela's may end my happy marriage of 19 years.

that would be quite a treat, i've had my eye on one of those too.. but the cost of the ammo has kept that purchase at bay.
at around 4.50 a round, I would have a hard time paying 3k+ for a rifle that I couldn't even afford to shoot.

Re: Firearms / Hunting Thread
Yeah. That's why I was also thinking the 6.8 Grendel, though I don't think it's much cheaper at all. I think the end result will be a 20" 223 with 1:10 twist for heavier weight rounds....hopefullly the 77gr Black Hills.

Re: Firearms / Hunting Thread
Kicking this one back up because I got a couple new weapons.
My new AK (MAK90)
And my new Taurus PT1911 AR with custom made grips
And just for fun, I took this walking the hunting property with the AK one morning on pig patrol.
