Good news for those that take Imitrex
Just refilled my prescription and found that it is finally generic. I got 4 injections for $20 with my insurance instead of the usual 2 injections for $40! W00T!!
Took long enough...

Re: Good news for those that take Imitrex
Wish mine would drop, 4 shots run over $1200.00 and even with insurance its still $70.00 a month. $70 is still alot better than $1200 big ones though. They get you right where they want you, can't live with it, can't live without it. Oh in case you are wondering its Enbrel.

Ain't that the truth! They know people in pain will pay whatever it takes to get relief.
I started taking Imitrex not long after it first hit the market... close to 20 years ago. It's amazing how long it takes for the patent to be up and generics can hit the market. They have a new one out now called Treximet. It's Imitrex with Naproxen. As if the side effects aren't bad enough (for many people) they add something that can damage your organs... liver, I believe. Lovely, no thanks, I'll stick to popping Excedrin or Ibuprofen with my (now generic) Imitrex.
