I been outdone!
So I'm starting all the New Year's stuff early. Vowing to get fit, lose weight, and all that stuff.
But I'm also going to Get Organized.
Got labels and storage containers for the garage. And I already put up one of the several shoe racks I'm going to use to organize my 80+ pairs of shooz. (I love shooz). Put it together and put it up myself and was quite smug about it.
But this friend of mine clearly wins. She and her hubby are moving into a new home soon and she has a WHOLE ROOM just for clothes and shooz!!!!
I'm gonna get organized but I been outdone!!!

and don't worry to much about your friend, most of us can't afford to have a whole room just for clothes and shoes (unless its got reptiles in it too) !

lol i actually agree with ice. I have a pair of shoes, a pair of boots, and pair of sandals. that's all i need 
but good for you for getting organized and whatnot.

I recently downsized my shoe collection. When I moved I gave away most of my roughly 30 pairs of shoes. I only kept four. My neighbors were happy with free shoes though. Most of them were impractical for winter in Michigan. I'm sure they were happy to stay in California.

I have some shooz I know I will probably not wear again, beautiful high heels. But shooz are art as well as footwear and I'm keeping them forever.
Cruddy old tennis shooz get pitched, but well taken care of leather pumps and heels can last for years.
I think my collection is modest and I only have around 20 handbags.
I can be in jeans and oxford shirt, if I have nice shooz and a nice bag, I feel well dressed.
Some people buy expensive jewelry and sportscars and whatnot, but to me, a comfy but beautiful pair of shooz is an investment. And unlike some recent sad Ponzi schemes of the Madoff persuasion where fortunes evaporated in an instant, shooz hold their value, bring happiness, it's not such a bad thing.

Oh yeah and the rest of the New Year's stuff- getting fit and all, I walked the dogs in the park today, will try to do that every day. And I took the chain saw and trimmed the trees in the back yard. I think I'm gonna need Tylenol with my coffee tomorrow morning, I haven't used some of these muscles in a while.

Just bought a new pair of black dress shoes yesterday after mine split and snow crept into my feet. I have to agree with ice - one pair of dress, one pair of casual and slippers. I guess for me it's a guy thing.
