School Presentation
I just arrived at home after taking my two boa's up to my childrens school to put on a presentation for the two fifth grade classes. It never fails to amaze me what some of these childrens parents have told them about snakes. This is the second year that I have done this and the kids really enjoy it. I am so proud of my Cleo she is such a trooper and takes it all in stride. While we were up there the school decides to do a fire drill. So everything got real interesting real fast. Needless to say it was kinda funny because when I was in the classrooms none of the mothers wanted to get near the snakes, yet when I was outside during the fire drill these same ladies are all surrounding me wanting to hold my big girl. I guess that they just had to see that snakes aren't as evil and slimey as they originally thought. Good day and Merry Christmas.

Re: School Presentation
awwww, that's awesome! I was supposed to do a presentation for 7th and 8th graders today, for a biology teacher who comes into our shop all the time. Had everything all planned and ready to go... until we got 7 inches of snow and school was closed. I was much unhappy.

Re: School Presentation
Great story. I think school presentations are very helpful to our hobby and herp conservation. Keep up the good work!

Re: School Presentation
Last yr I brought my 7ft bci to my daughters school and the kids just loved it. Congrats on letting the ladies know snakes are not evil.
