fecal question

i have a fecal sample i wanna drop off at the vet's tomorrow, do i put it in the fridge, or do i keep it at room temp??

just went through this today....put it in the fridge...tell mom there is fresh fudge in there

If you are doing the sample to check for parasites than do not put it in the refrigerator, the cold kill the parasites (happened when I had my Anaconda checked for tape worms)

I've always heard to put it in the frig... even done it at a zoo I worked at and for my own animals. Thanks for the heads up Boaterr

ive always been told to put it in the fridge, but NOT in the freezer

The fridge can repture eggs. My Anaconda had a very specific kind of roundworm and tapewarm infestation and the eggs were destroyed when I put the feces in the fridge. Luckily her poop still had adult worms in it.
