US Mail Just cost me my Hot Sauce Time
BWSmith,
I just got my package today of your hot sauce, from the little I tasted it was good.
How ever I had to throw the whole bottle away due to the fact it got busted during transit.
I have no problems with you at all.
I hate to say those sorry little bags they put damage items in that state "We Care" My vent they Care.
here are pictures on how sorry they are.
I'm not going to resize these pictures at all, so deal with the screen on your computer to be blown out.

Re: US Mail Just cost me my Hot Sauce Time
From the small lick my dad and I took.
I found it a little strong, But my dad lost his head and had to get a drink of soda pop from a little taste off the finger.

Re: US Mail Just cost me my Hot Sauce Time
I hope mine comes in okay... *tear for your loss*
Mine are supposed to be Christmas presents for my grandfather and my uncle...so it would really suck if they broke in transit. Is USPS going to do anything about it?

Re: US Mail Just cost me my Hot Sauce Time
Sorry, that sucks. I lived in Central Mexico for two years in my early twenties and my parents sent me a valentine package one year full of See's Cocolates, other candy and a couple other things, well the Mexican Government opened my package, confiscated my candy and chocolates on the basis that they needed to be tested for in their words "dangerous substances such as poisons or drugs" that was the response my father got for the local consulate when he questioned them about my Valentines package not arriving. Yeah, I'm sure they were "tested", by the Mexican postal workers bellies. "Mmmm, nothing wrong with this one, better eat a couple more just to be sure".

Re: US Mail Just cost me my Hot Sauce Time
that sucks! I've had them bust packages of mine too. "I'm sorry" really makes it better, huh? It would be even better if they had to cut you a check for the goods THEY damaged. Stupid postal crap.

Re: US Mail Just cost me my Hot Sauce Time
My step-dad works for USPS. Some of the stories he tells me about the packages, well, I'm just glad he's not my carrier! The only thing I will ever send USPS is paper in an envelope. But sorry to hear about your loss =(

How did they get it to WA faster than they got it to TX? Mine hasn't arrived yet.

Re: US Mail Just cost me my Hot Sauce Time
I haven't gotten mine yet either. Again Christmas presents for the family and gf. Personally BW I wouldn't have minded paying extra shipping so the order would be shipped in a box with cushioning to prevent just this sort of accident.
Well you know you live and learn.

The small tubes I can actually stand on, so the USPS had to seriously manhandle or run over it to break it. So far that is the only one that had an incident en route. The tubes are actually the cores from rolls of 50 - 150 yard architectural large format paper so they are tough. I actually have to use a table saw to cut them. But I am always looking for better ways to ship. This is my first time shipping out so many bottles so I am still learning the best way.

Re: US Mail Just cost me my Hot Sauce Time
I'm surprised they didn't call the EPA to clean up that "hazardous substance" that may have leaked out!! Can you imagine a postal worker getting it on his hands and wiping his eye???!!!
I hope to see mine tonight!!

Re: US Mail Just cost me my Hot Sauce Time
Received my bottle last night and it arrived in fine shape. Based on the way my bottle was packed, it would of taken some serious abuse to break the bottle.

Re: US Mail Just cost me my Hot Sauce Time
Mine arrived just fine, too. This leads me to wonder 2 things:
1) How the heck did USPS break Icicle's bottle?
2) BW can reach the table saw?
