or at least I think it is...but maybe that's because it's like me just talking LOL! Someone emailed me about doing an article on snakes and asked if I could help by answering some questions. I said sure and she wrote it up and here's the article! I just didn't know she would be quoting me so much...LOL!

Wow, hey, that's pretty cool. The feeding every 5-7 days sounds a bit much, but otherwise, it's a good article. I especially like that picture to the right of the article that shows the bodies of all these snakes side by side. Bonus points to anyone who can identify all of those species. On the offchance that either of you have that picture in wallpaper size, I'd like to use it for my wallpaper.

Yeah...I forgot to specify in my answers to her question that feeding is approximately once every 5 to 7 days for babies. I have no idea where she got that picture in the corner though...it is pretty cool!

GREAT write up ! Prolly the first one I have seen where the writer didn't change so much that was said so that it "fed" into the "stigma" associated with reptiles that we usually run into in most articles.

Awesome artical, one thing i did notice though is that you mentioned snakes can be fed "frozen or dethawed food" Wouldnt feeding a actualy frozen item hurt the snakes cold blooded system?

Hey John,
Good catch! I didn't even see that...it was supposed to say frozen/defrosted (as in frozen items that are thawed out) not that both frozen food items and defrosted food items could be offered to the snake...oh well...I hope people who aren't familiar with snakes don't think that you can throw a frozen rodent in there and the snake will eat it... That is a cool pic, but I dont think they are real snakes.
Unless someone found the world record size for a coral snake.
