Creepiest creature on earth
In honor of Halloween (world's greatest holiday), post a picture of what you believe is the creepiest creature on earth. Here is mine:

This is a camel spider. It grows to about 6" in length, can run 10 mph, and screams while it runs. These spiders are found in the middle eastern deserts (such as Iraq). They can make dens up to 3 feet long filled with stringy webs that trap animals and cut into their flesh when they try to escape. Then the spiders start gnawing at the animal's flesh.
A friend told me to google this spider the other night before I went to bed. Big mistake. I had nightmares all night. Okay, your turn. I dare you to find something creepier.

Sam, you're not right. BTW, when these things bite you, the area is numbed. You often don't know you've been bitten until long after an infection has started.

Re: Creepiest creature on earth
C'mon, a giant spider that screams while it is chasing you at 10 mph is not creepy? They WILL chase you because they hate being in the sun and will run after your shadow. If you lie down, they will hide underneath you.

Of all the horror stories I've heard about the Iraqi war, the camel spider is the number one worst I've heard. But on the bright side, they can just send them all to Sam!

Sorry, Dave, that's more on the lines of "cute and cuddly". But have you ever seen the pic of him with the snakehook up his nose?

Whoa....LOL, look who is asking to be a target!
I have seen video of those camel spiders fighting scorps (aparently it is a great pasttime of our fighting forces who like to place bets on which one wins -- nothing against our men and women in uniform, just wasn't impressed with alot of the videos I have seen). Many times the spiders win!

Agreed. The way people treat animals is creepier than any animal could ever be.

Eventhough you didn't call me baby, I will go ahead and post them yet AGAIN! lol.
Folks at home, please don't try this. There was no camera trickery, nor any special effects. Hook went up nose as seen. However, coming out can hurt real bad if you don't keep it straight, and if you do happen to do this, don't be alarmed at the numbness that might occur down the right side of your body. It will wear off after a few hours and the ability to walk will come back in about half a day.
