You know what this means, right Louise? Yep. You now need to get a camel spider as a pet so you can overcome your fear of them.
So I was thinking of this creature that chases humans at 10 mph, screaming while it runs, and how it will lie down under you if you lie down. Then it occurred to me that I have a creature that does the exact same thing -- the Siamese! He will chase me around the house screaming. Only when I lie down, he gets ON TOP of me. Pretty frightening!

Re: Creepiest creature on earth
I saw something in Puerto Vallarta once that scared the bejeesus out of me. My bf and I were walking down a dirt path at 4:00 am with a flashlight (long story). We came upon a giant creature that looked like ET's little brother. It was lying on its back kicking its legs in the air. I don't believe I have ever screamed so loud. It was about 6" long, and I think it was some kind of beetle.

Did I say I wanted to move to Georgia? I changed my mind. Camel crickets in Georgia, brown recluse spiders in Tennessee.......I guess I'll just stay in Colorado.

That's a great pic, my favorite of you! I don't think I've ever seen anyone happier!
I tried to clean it up in Photoshop but your face is so overexposed I made it look worse. If you send me the original (full size) I might be able to do better.

Thanks, Dave! I was trying to say "Wakey wakey, little snakey" but he kept putting his tail in my mouth! I don't have a better version of that pic though. It was taken on my POS camera.

Re: Creepiest creature on earth
Uh....uh...... The G-rated response to blueboy's question is that they are only pictures (LOL). But the camel spiders are very real.
