As of Thanksgiving weekend we were without a place to live because of bad credit. We searched and searched for a place to live while we were in the Austin area. Ater 8-10 denials my parents offered us a place to live temporarily in their home here in the Dallas area. Well after three months we decided it was time to move out and we applied at a nice mobile home park with 700 homes in it. We applied Saturday and received an approval yesterday for anything FOR SALE. WOOHOO!!!! that means we will be the owners of a new home in a few days. Which means I can have as many animals as I want and no pet deposits and no STUPID LANDLORDS. We will be trying to get into a 4 bedroom so that the kids each have their own room and my snakies will too. Just what I have been wanting, my own snake "office." We are going out this morning to have another look. I will keep you all updated.

Make sure that you check out the "park" rules also though anyways in regards to pets. Some of them have rules against pets even though you own the home. UGH.

Well we looked a couple of places, one new and theother 3yrs old. The new one was gorgeous but the layout was not what we liked and was only 1400 sqft. The used one is very nice and 1800sqft. The master is on one side and the kids bdrms are on the other side. Big living are, big kitchen complete with island, huge utility room with room for my freezer and two covered decks on both entrances.
Housewarming may be next weekend after the arlington show. We'll play it by ear if not the following weekend.
I'll take a few photos today when we go in to close the deal.

Thanks Everyone. We have survived a week in our new home, a few of the snakes have shed already. Feeding them tonight, as I have not been able to in a couple of weeks. I have one of those 2 months free MSN cds so will try it out tonight. We have most of everything setup now. Just need to build some shelving for books and what not.
