ive done that with corn snakes. knowing they are escape artists, i would constantly check on them. now when i think i have a missing snake that is the first place i check..and 99% of the time they are.

I got an albino corn thats just a little stinker she stays in the cage even though i leave the lid open to go get water or her food, when i come back it looks like shes gone so i look for her and sure enough shes under her bedding.. But the snow corn i had that was a escape pro she got out the last time and i never did find her.. For some reason this little albino just wants to stay in her comffy home..

I've had the same thing happen to me once when I was using the rubbermaid tubs. The snake was laying on the side that had a handle part facing inside. i don't think I searched for six hours though.

yea, except the couple of times that that would happen to me, id cry like a baby, cause that was my new corn. and it would always happen at night when i would get home from work, id tear apart my room looking, then think to myself, he will turn up in the next couple of days, and lay down. then id get upjsut to double check and he would be under the lid, or up underneath the top of his hide..i would be soo happy i would wake joe (faze) up just to tell him that i found him..lol
