OK, it's like 3 am and I am closing up shop for tonight.

But I would like everyone's opinion on what I have just put together.

This is the Flash intro to Herpedia.com coming this summer. It may take a minute or longer for people with dial up connections.

This is my first time working with a Flash program and this is the end result.

This is the logo design I came up with for Herpedia.com (I've been a busy boy [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif[/img] )




Any suggestions and your opinions, are wlecome and appreciated.

The banner above looks alright though I don't really like the text. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img] As far as teh SWISH, that isn't flash! [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif[/img] I got tired of waiting, I'm on dial-up and it hasn't loaded yet and it's been awhile. Then again, I don't see a need for flash on a site, most vistors don't really care about it and skip it anyways.

I second that. The flash took a long time to load and I am on DSL. The logo is very cool though.

So, if I skip the Swish movie and go right to the navigation (menu) page, that woul be better.

I know it is taking a long time to load, and that is why I want everyone's opinion. If I take out the first scene it would have no need to "Load" and would start at the Menu page with the logo.

The text in the logo isn't a problem to change. I saved the pic with the htext and without so I can change it at anytime. ANy suggestions on font type?

I wouldn't have an intro page. If you notice nearly all professional websites do not have an intro page. When I say that, I'm referring to the "click here to enter" thing a lot of people use. I would go start to the index page if I was you. It's better to work with layers so you can just delete or add an layer when you need to.

I'd drop the intro also. OR if you really wanna keep it, I'd try to make a lighter intro. I don't think anyone with a 56K or less will want to try to load that much.

COOL SITE, though.
BTW, if you're really thinking of translating that into italian, I'm fluent in italian, so I could help you/check out the translation
