A couple weeks ago, my husband had to take our car in to get fixed. Turns out the feul ump was bad, which should have been covered by the extended warranty. The warranty company supposedly went bankrupt, but oddly enough they are still in business, but were giving us a hard time about paying for the repair. So, the dealer we bought the car from said they'd pay for it and make the warranty people pay them back. No problem, got the car back, runs fine. For 2 days that is. Back to the local dealer (not who we bought it from, since we've moved), where they find out that the water pump, spark plugs, wires, and a few other things I can't remember, ae bad. Warranty people say they will only pay for the water pump, but they want us to pay for it so they can pay us back in 8 QUARTERLY payments of like $25! Not even monthly payments! Talk to the original dealer again, they say they will work something out, so the dealer that has the car goes ahead and fixes it. Now, the car's been fixed since Monday, and we still haven't heard anything from the dealer or warranty people about who's paying for it! So we talk to the repair guys, and they say if we go ahead and pay it, they will try to lower the price for us (which they did by 10%), and will pay us back anything that the warranty people or dealership sends them. So now, we've paid $1900, when we should have only had to pay $400, and who knows if we'll get any of it back! Argh!!!! Now, we barely have enough to get our house moved when the new place is ready for it, and the cage I was planning on getting for a monitor I've got on hold and paid for, is going to have to wait. Looks like we may have to file a small claims suit to get our money back! I thought we were going to have plenty of money to move the house and get my cage, but now I don't know what's going to happen! ARGH!!!! Just had to complain to somebody. At least we have a car again, but I'm hoping something happens to get us our money!

Don't cars suck?! At least when we used to ride horses if they broke down you could eat 'em! Hope things get better for you soon!

Actually extended warranty companies suck, they are bigger leaches than used care salesmen, and lawyers.
Now cars on the other hand are engineered to break. Its a well known fact. Fuel pumps go, waterpumps go. Plugs and wires are just normal maintenace. Seems like the dealers are treating you well(for $85.00 an hour they should) The warranty company is the problem. Since they are in Bankruptcy I'm sure getting your money would be easier getting blood from a stone.
Some days it doesnt pay to get out of bed.
