bad snake mommy
i dont get it. i know i been working 12 hour shifts which actually means i am gone for 14 hours a day. i leave at 6pm and get back home at 8am. i stay up till 9am. i mist my snakes before i leave for work and as soon as i get home from work. i seen little max go into blue and i would really dampen his mulch. last night before bed i super misted it and today when i woke up at about 4pm i went and looked and he had a horrible shed! my snakes never ever have bad sheds. i feel like a bad snake mommy. well i got him out and gave him a nice bath in my tub. he seems to hate baths unless he is stealing mine. look how pitiful he looks after all the shed was off i pulled him out and he stayed under the towel and i got to hug him for at least 10 minutes (longest he ever held still in his life) i have the next few days off and the 8 foot cages i bought from my room mate are being moved upstairs. they hold humidity great. my bosses knew from the get go that if the manager job interfered with my snakes at all i would quit. my schedule had been mon-thurs 7pm-7am and Sundays 4pm-9pm. i now got it changed to not any Sundays. i can sleep on Fridays and spend sat and sun. with my snakes.
just had to vent cause i am so upset about max's shed. i feel i let him down
look how sad he looks
he wanted out
this is his lufa. they work great on stuck sheds!
all the stuck shed gone and him hanging out till i went and got his special towel.
maybe i am over tired but this hit me really hard. tomorrow for a treat he is getting a bunny instead of a rat.

Re: bad snake mommy
Louise, you are the BEST snake mommy in the world. Bad sheds happen, don't let it get you down. Max has to be happiest burm in the world.
*hugs*
