they stole my air conditioner!
last month our electric bill was 400.00 and this month 430.00 but our air conditioner never turns off...it just keeps running and it wont get our house any cooler then 77. well a few months ago our air worked great and kept it nice and cold. we have been complaining to our landlord about the high bills and how it never really cools the house off.
he sent 3 different people out. the first one cleaned our filter and said he put it back in and in a few days he would bring a new one. the second one blew Freon into it and the third one came and said the first one never put a new filter in and it ruined something or another.
well while the third guy was here the owner came too and we all went out by the air conditioner. to all of our surprise it was not the one that was installed when the house was built 3 years ago! while we were at work some body came and took our good one and replaced it with a old broken down one! we are not talking a window air conditioner we are talking a central air one!
i am thinking one of the workers he sent over came and took our good one and put an old crummy one in its place.
the nerve of some people. now we have to wait a week to get a new one

i am from the suburbs of michigan and i am not use to this heat or this crime.

That's how I felt when I moved to L.A. Within a week of moving to L.A. someone broke into my apartment and stole my MacBook Pro with a full suite of editing software. Then a few weeks later someone stole my wallet out of my purse while I wasn't looking at school. Plus it was hot.
That is really crazy that they would go to so much trouble. It must have been hard to steal! Aren't those really big?

yes they are big and it had to of taken hours. that is why i think one of the workers came back and stole it. they knew i was leaving for work cause i had my work clothes on.

man that sucks, I cant say I ever heard of a swapping, most of the time its grab and run, if they came back while you were gone, why did they bother leaving one?

thats what i kept saying but maybe that wanted it to be awhile before we noticed?? or maybe they wanted the neighbors to think that ours was damaged and they were replacing it????

tonight it was 82 in here, we are telling the owner if something isn't done this week that we are staying in a hotel and takin it out of the rent.

that is so funny you said that cause i had a really long day at work yesterday and i got home and it was a oven in here. i called him and told him we will not be paying rent for the days we are going without air. i was crabby as heck and he called this morning and said someone will be here today
