I don`t know if anyone else posted this but I`m really disturbed by it...

Wow, that beats out most gun violence stories. Insane and sick, you think the men with the crowbar and hammer would have done something sooner, or anybody on the bus.

i heard that story on my way home from work this morning. it made me so mad and sick. how horrible.

I read about that this morning at work.... disturbed people walk our streets. it's getting kind of sad and scary when you can't even relax on a greyhound surrounded by almost 40 other people.

it happened about an hour away from my home...a friend of a friend was one of the responding officers...heres my reply from another forum

alot of people will not agree with this, but this is the way I see things. The man is a sick, sick killer, and no matter what state of mind he is in, he should rot! People say to bring back the death penalty, but sorry to burst your bubble, but that isnt gonna do a whole lot. Sure he will get humanely euthanized, but think about this. In the US where they have the death penalty, it isnt an instant thing. The person sentenced to death sits for an average of 20 years awaiting his execution date. In that time they are eating 3 meals a day, they have heat, and air conditioning, free medical/dental/optical, and clothing, and all their toiletries. They have all that for on average, 20 years, and guess what...you are paying for it with your tax dollars. So people might find this a little extreme, but i think they shoulda got there, seen what he had done, and shot any remote chance of life out of the guy. When someone does a crime like that, I think their right to live should be revoked. If they are sane, then they are a huge risk to do it again, and if they are insane, then they are still a huge risk to do it again. Sane, Insane, whatever, this guy did not deserve to step off that bus and go to jail

I agree with Owen. A murder that heinous should have stamped a void on that man before any sort of investigation on his mental health.

Who's to say he hadn't been acting nice and nudging elbows with those people during the bus breaks, in some sick, twisted manner to sift through them for a victim? The guy needs to be locked away in a very dark cell and forgot about, after the trauma he put all those people--and those little kids through.

i agree with owen too...that :censored: just needs to be wiped off the face of the planet. he was cocky enough to display that poor victims head to the other passengers

some people are so disgusting, and people wonder why i wanna get away from other people

what seems to sicken me the most, is the fact that he was almost like a robot when he did it...apparantly, he wasnt yelling, he wasnt moving overly fast, he wasnt even breathing hard while he did this. He was completely relaxed, and calm. Makes me wonder, out of the hundreds of people that go missing everyday, how many has he killed before, and never been caught for?

who knows, i wouldnt be surprised if this guy was some attention-staarved serial killer or something trying to get credit for his "work"

What bothers me, is why they allow weapons like that on the bus in the first place.

I used to work graveyard shift at a coffeeshop adjacent to the Greyhound stop, and I once had a run-in with a customer that had missed his bus, and flew off the handle. He went as far as stealing the key for the control board off of the second bus that pulled in, what was headed in the opposite direction, hurling a scalding hot coffee at a passenger that asked him quite politely to return it... and then turning on ME when I asked him to calm down. He literally lunged at the counter, and looked for something to shove off of it at me. I didn't back down, called the cops, and the police.. being the "brave" souls they are here, wrestled him outside until he said he'd give the key back.

Once he started "cooperating" they let him stay so he could get on the next bus. Knowing the driver, I let the driver know about the man's behavior, and the driver didn't want him riding his bus.. and considering the man had slipped on the bus shortly before I informed the driver of him... when the Driver confronted the man and asked him to remove himself from the bus, the guy pulled a jack-knife out of his pocket on the Driver..

It was quite the kerfuffle to get the police up there again to detain the guy... and I was just glad that most of the customers were off the bus on a break during this.
