Very Mad Burm
Well...
The newest burm i picked up wasnt as nice as Lori said it was. Its nice in short, very short spurts. the other day i bought a few kiddie pools for my snakes to chill in. Well...Blazer(the burm)...decided he liked the pool a little to much, and he didnt want to get out...well i finally got him out of it, and all of the sudden he went nuts on me....i was chasing my 8 foot burm that weighs 30 something pounds around my back yard. i had no clue that a snake that size could move with a purpose like that. well it got to the point where everytime i would get around his tail to pick him up he would strike at me. It was more fun than anything for me. i took it serious though....
but yeah...he is gonna be a tough one....

Re: Very Mad Burm
it must bw something to do with burms...whenever max wants to do something and i stop him he hisses like crazy. i swear i can see him slamming his fist down. they are very stubborn when they want to be. it is like he is arguing with me to get his way. he dont strike or try to bite he just says 'hiss hiss'

Re: Very Mad Burm
burms are big snakes and sometimes im pretty sure they know it, when karma doesn't want picked up she will flatten herself down and make it hard for you to pick her up. but she hasnt struck or bitten anyone since nov 07 when she was rescued. troy your burms personality will change after he gains some trust for you, me and dustin thought karma would never change but she did. good luck and keep us updated i love burms

Re: Very Mad Burm
oh i know the temperment of large pythons...but ty for the additional info. ive had burms and retics on and off for years now...
i just thought all yall would get a kick out of hearing my adventure with blazer...lol.
the only problem with this one is that he came from a really bad home...not lori...but the owner before lori....(lori only had him for a week)....but yeah...he is a very sensitive, lethargic, and reclusive burm that is only nice when he feels like getting out of his cage...lol. it will all soon change once he knows that im not out to hurt him or make him aggravated
