Black Carpeting
What is so terrible about black carpeting that makes even the carpet company look at you funny when you say you want it installed?
The wife is complaining that she wants new carpeting installed in the bedroom. I say if we put in new carpeting, I want it to be black and we can repaint the walls changing them from off white to bright white.
She is not thrilled.
Does anyone have black carpeting in a room? If so, do you have a photo I could use to show her it's not a crazy idea?
I think I am compromising here. She wants a new carpet and I agreed as long as it was black.

Hey I painted the slab black in my snake room! I would have done black carpet to keep the color theme, but it was cheaper to paint it lol

I don't see anything wrong with it, but then again I'm weird. I guess most people think it's too morbid looking or dark or something...you should go into the carpet place with chicken feathers and fake blood all over you.

Once I get my own house, the bedroom's walls are going to be bright blood red and the carpets will be red AND black shag carpet. All the window frames and door frames and other accents will be black.
I have it all planned out. It'll look awesome. The reptile room will be powder blue with green shag carpet though.
I don't know why, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE shag carpet. Will says it looks dingy. Sigh.

Personally, I'd love black carpet. And black walls.. and an overall dark room. Reason? So I can sleep in longer! 
It's so horrendously bright in my room in the morning that I'm up the second the sun peeks over the mountains.. being that my window's on the morning-side of the house..
