Went fossil hunting
I took the kids out looking for shark teeth in a river near here, about 100 miles upstream from the coast. These are the ones I found. The big piece is a bone. I'd love to know what it's from. Lots of fun!!

Yea, the only one I'd be able to ID is the megaladon. Looks like a great white tooth but bigger.

Nice! Are those all from one dig? From what I can remember the girant ones are Megalodon, smaller versions of those are great whites, long skinny weird ones are sand tigers, and the short wide hooked ones are tigers. Can't remember any others but I'm sure you can find them online or in a book. I have tons hidden away somewhere and some arrowheads we used to find in the creeks around here. Helpful that Florida was once underwater

In 3 hrs, we each usually find about 200 teeth. I've just learned where to look for the really big ones, so we'll be going every chance we get.

I love doing that kind of stuff. You and your kids must have been having fun.
This might be hard to believe for some, but bull sharks swim up the mighty Miss. river all the way to MN and occasionally they find teeth on the shore like you and your kids did.
