Hurricanes and Hots
I am sure that no one who keeps hots would want them to escape and have children or ordinary citizens in the area inadvertently be placed at risk.
What do y'all do, if you live in an area where there are hurricanes to decrease the chance of escape in case of such a disaster? Are the new cages being made these days strong enough to withstand hurricane conditions?

Re: Hurricanes and Hots
Thats an interesting question. However in my mind, the only way the hurricane could get to the critters is to knock down the house, I would imagine that kind of force would crush the poor critters before they had a chance to get out.

Re: Hurricanes and Hots
I know of one person on the east coast of Florida that had a tree fall through his herp room. He had some escapes, but nothing Hot that I am aware of.
I suppose it is possible that these sorts of "Acts of God" can be put at a reduced risk, but it is impossible to plan for every eventuality, and no matter how well we plan, something will always turn up that wasn't in the script.
