Yes, sonny boy. When I turned 100, I decided to get a boob job and full body lift. It's really amazing what modern medicine can do. And this is for you:

I wonder how they test allergies on dogs? hmmm
I like that name, squirrel-brain,

That discussion is not useless! Take it to a real thread!!
We have a dog with all kinds of odd allergies. Grain isn't one of them when we figured that was his problem. My wife had him tested. Cost $400!!! I could have K*lled her!!!!

Dogs have food sensitivities. The biggest culprit for dogs is diet. What food do you feed yours?

We used to feed Taste of the Wild because it was grain free. We found out the major allergy is chicken!!! My wife has the full list somewhere. He's getting Purina One right now. Ol' Roy might be next!!!

It's not useless, it sucks up electricity and blows out heat. It is kind of large though. Comcast gave out their branded version of Norton 360. It checks everything I do (including web pages), slowing the machine to a crawl.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
I was doing raw diet but my girls started getting sick. Called my vet and she didn't think it was salmonella poisoning (no fever, just one symptom) so we stuck to one protein. After a few weeks, no improvement so my vet suggested we switch back to good kibble and that is where we are at.

I think Ol' Roy's main ingredient is cigarette butts. Nothing good in there!

My wife bought a bunch of "raw" stuff, put it in the freezer, and that's where it stayed!! More money down the drain! They (the dogs) seem to have no problem pulling everything out of the garbage and eating it!! One of our kids got a visit from our ol' buddy "Sal". I don't think he was eating the "raw" food though.

Well on the raw diet, I was waiting to see how it went for you...it makes some sense but honestly wasn't enthused to try. (my dogs eat kibble with added good stuff...various meats and some veggies they love like brocoli and tomatoes?! No digestive complaints ever, and both in good health.)
BTW, 'squirrel-brain' isn't her name, more like a description/nickname! She is just like that dog in "Up"! LOL! She's a lab mix/??? and a GOOD squirrel chaser/catcher! and with an Italian greyhound for a sidekick, squirrels that want to live have to be fast here!

The raw diet didn't work out? Sorry to hear. Is there some happy medium, like a good quality canned food with meat listed as the first 3 ingredients? I don't know about dogs, but for cats, it's easier on their kidneys when they get a lot of moisture from their food.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
These special diets where invented to sell dog food. I'm sure a major allergy requires special food but I doubt most dogs need it.
