Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
I just had an infraction staring me in the face for a while. I think it just expired today. Truth be told, I really dislike all the stuff here that makes us competitive. Whose bar is bigger than whose, who has the most awards/friends/championships. It's kind of silly. But I should probably shut up before my bars get shorter. lol

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
I also got horrendously pooped on by a few of them too. I've never seen so much musk and poop come from a baby Brazilian rainbow boa. I would feel bad for whatever predator tried to eat that thing. They would get a stomach full of poop and musk.

Well, I've gotten 4. Not much difference there. Guess it's just because of the gold star after my name. I must be the teacher's pet or something. Sorry, SUAD.
I'm just kidding. This new system makes no sense at all to me.

Yeah, I'm not sure all this new junk impresses me, nor do I understand how they come up with their scores? Maybe it will slip away quietly in the night...?

America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. – John Quincy Adams (1821)

Wow, I must've gotten some that I wasn't aware of, then. Seriously, I keep record of them, they're all in my inbox. I dunno where 20 is coming from....
*edit* I just counted - 6 infractions, 2 warnings. What's this 20 crap?

Ok, that still doesn't explain why I had the bars before this switchover and why I don't now. I had forgotten about the Viperlover thread....oh well.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
lame, anyway, back to the topic not at hand. I've been watching some andre galvao fights lately. for a dude who is such a crazy awesome jiu jitz guy i would think he'd be winning his fights a little easier. is it just me or does is look sometimes like a fighter will try to beat another fighter with a skill that is not his strongest in an attempt to prove himself to be more dynamic? because i have seen that quite a bit and find it quite silly. if you are an amazing striker, stand up and knock him out; you don't need to prove to me you can submit a guy. same goes for a grappler.

Yeah, sometimes you see that cost a guy a fight, as well. Case in point -Rashad/Lyoto. Rashad had abandoned his wrestling some time before that fight...and Machida capitalized like a mother on it. I agree that for the most part you should stick with what you're best in - however, if there's something you've been reallllly heating up behind the scenes at the gym that no one but you and your team know about, it could be advantageous to use that out of nowhere in a fight to blindside your opponent. Case in point - GSP/Koscheck, when he busted out the wrestling to outwrestle a wrestler, lol.

my allergies are nasty today, it's hot as heck outside, the Gators have a game so Gainesville is insane. Today is a good day to keep my butt on the couch.

I feel your pain, as I've been suffering with sinus maladies since forever.
On a happier note, I just practiced the new medical massage stuff on a client in lieu of deep tissue. (I am now trained in medical massage). She loved it! I hardly used any deep tissue, so my hands have been saved. This is really very exciting for me - you have no idea! And now I'm going to my hairdresser's house to get my hair done. Well, there's not much he can 'do' with it, but at least he can get the gray out.

And may I just say that if you're ever trying to massage the sacrotuberous ligament and you miss, they will probably never come back. lol
