You mean on Monday? I can totally do it. I'm off on Mondays. Only thing is you'd have to come out into the greeting area and go back through security, so it would be a very short visit. Just long enough to take some pics for here.
I did this when I went to SF a few years ago for an RTB reunion. I had a layover in LA, so I met up with an RTB member there and we went out for pizza.

I'll be just northwest of Houston. I'm planning on moving around a little to visit some friends in different areas of the state. I'll be in Texas for two weeks.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
That Alby Burm from CL is still available (the one in Cleveland, not the moron that insists it's a Ball Burm).
I e-mailed the guy, and he said he's taking it to a reptile show we're having here this weekend.
I've never been to one, but was surprised to hear you could sell without a vendor's license of some kind.
I wish owning it weren't such a bad idea. It looks so gorgeous, but... Ughhh.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
At least you have the sense to realize owning it might be a bad idea. I know people who buy first and try to play catch up later. There's someone that frequents the shop I go to that went to a show and bought a Cook's tree boa, Asian water monitor, Bibron's gecko and at least a dozen other animals. A month later the V. salvator was dead and everything else ended up at the shop because she couldn't take care of any of it.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
Ick.
I'm inclined to say my currents are enough for me, but I'll always have the lean toward something more.
As it stands (every major controversy aside), I've not the appropriate enclosure. That's really all there is to it. If I did, that might be different. Burms also require a permit in my area (though there's no real way they can regulate who has what), and I'd like to be less of a problem and more of an asset to my hobby by owning them legally (however loosely "legally" can be defined under those circumstances).
It just seems as though it has great potential to become a serious problem down the road, and no Burm I might happen upon deserves that possibility, however qualified I am to keep such a thing or how better off it would be in my care vs. a run of the mill hobbyist - of which I'm scarcely a step above.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
I've helped my hots instructor deal with some horrible stuff up at that shop because people couldn't take care of their animals and decided to drop them off. Its something I absolutely hate to see. I think the worst one I ever saw was a pair of normal adult corns kept in a 5 gal aquarium with a screen top. One had kinks and the other one found a small hole in the screen and almost de-fleshed himself trying to get out.
