I've been through more than most people my age ever have. I don't care much for the lifestyle most people my age seem to live now. The partying and messing around. I did that all in high school and I just want to make a stable life for myself. I secured a steady job that I can advance in, and now I'm ready to take it to the next level and live my own life.

Part of me wants to stay, make sure my parents are alright, but I need to leave. I just can't continue to stay happy here forever, and keep putting up what I have for so long.

I'm one of 6 kids with a crazy biological mother I haven't seen in.. years...

Packed my bags at 18 and moved to Florida Live your life... can't spend all your time being a caretaker, as much as you want to help out.

Yeah, I finally realized a couple years ago that I can't put up with this. It's going to be a hard decision to make for sure. I've been the caretaker when my mother was in and out of mental institutions, and was on so many meds she was like a Alzheimer's patient. And then my dad being in and out of the hospital, and my brother acting like a fool... sick, sick, sick of it.

I'm 21, and I feel 35!

I'll try and find my suit tonight and sneak in to the community pool in my sister's housing complex. Might be tricky though, those fences are TALL!

I have a cheap one bedroom apartment that comfortably fits my ever growing zoo. Is Colorado expensive? Utilities for me run about $125 a month, that's WITH the AC being set at 72 all day, and Cable/internet is $100 (we have HD, a DvR, and some sports tiers) and... my rent is $550 a month

My real mom was an abusive bipolar sociopath. Tried to have a relationship with her and after not seeing her from ages 6-15, I moved in with her thinking I could help. Yeah no. Moved back with my dad and adopted mom (step mom, but she legally adopted me) and never looked back.

My brothers refused to move out though and my mom got mad and sold the house I grew up in

See if she can have a live in nurse? or just a nurse that comes by everyday to help your mom.

Do you have dogs or cats? I have 2 cats and a large dog, and want another large dogs. I'm sure if I got an apartment the pet deposit would be outrageous!

Any dog breed is allowed here!! yay! I have one cat, and I plan on getting a Doberman and when I DO get the puppy, we are able to move into a two bedroom place for another $100 a month

They changed her meds about 5 years ago. She has a part time job now and is worlds different. She can take care of herself now. She was never abusive, just very, very unstable and suicidal. I remember being 8 or 9 and prying a bottle of narcotics out of her hand when I caught her trying to overdose.

I just looked at my lease papers again, it says one time pet fee of $100, each additional pet is $15 a month

only pay for cats or dogs. Hmmm...
