Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
Wait, did I read that RayRayShaniqua is shy and introverted? It's amazing how people's personalities can be so different on the internet.
I am actually very outgoing. What you see is what you get. But I find, especially as I get older, that I do not enjoy the company of most of the people I meet. I am very picky. I'd rather spend my time online with reptile people, whom I usually instantly like.

I am. I think it's like social anxiety or something. The internet is a good mask for things. I am pretty outgoing when I'm not on the computer once I get comfortable around people.

I find that so hard to believe. You seem like you'd be the life of the party, RayRayShenanigans (lol). Am I the only one here who's not shy?

When I come to think of it... introverted isn't really a good word. Analytical is more my style. I tend to analyze a new person's actions and get an idea if I would be cool with them or not. I'm not the type of person to just go up and talk to people on a whim.

Social Anxiety.........I don't have that problem...........Though I usually say whats floating around in my head.....And evidentally some people can't take the truth????? Some get me, most don't..........Though the ones that get me can usually stand me..............Being sedistic doesn't help all that much I guess?

I remember taking a training where they put the introverts in one group and the extroverts in the other. They both had to solve some problem. The introverts all waited patiently while each one spoke. It was very polite. The extroverts all shouted out whatever came into their minds and interrupted each other. Based on that, I know I'm an extrovert. But my lifestyle is extremely quiet. I don't find things like TV's and fireworks and other mainstream noisy activities very interesting. I also find most people less sensitive than I am and so I limit my contact (co-workers for instance).

I see a lot of this in myself, as well.
Good way of describing it, I never thought of things that way.

Things are definitely getting better. He's got his disability now, and I'm working on getting my own place. I finally just bought my own car, and am working towards getting a place of my own. Back when we were fighting for the disability, I was paying $850 a month to keep the roof over our heads because of an IRS and mortgage situation. I would have been out a long time ago, but I'm happy that I could provide for my family at that time.
