Now! You might wonder what crack has to do with energy drinks, so let me tell you. Health officials found traces of cocaine in the Red Bull energy drinks in Germany. Yean -- energy drinks. How you like them apples? lol

Yeah, energy drinks are bad. SOO bad for you.
I'm usually somewhat of a health-nut, but today I caved. I'm human!

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
I fully expect congressional hearings in the next few years about caffeine addiction in children and teens, and backlash against the marketers of energy drinks.
How much of a leap is it for kids to go from popping energy drinks to pick them up to kids turning to meth or coke for their pick me up?

I'm on the ground floor, and my porch is screened in. There is a sliding glass door leading INTO my apartment.
I was home but in the shower, lights were off, bathroom is at the back of the apartment.
heard something outside in the bushes, thought it was the feral cats around here.
someone slashed the screen on my porch and tried to get in, failed miserably, and got scared when I turned on the lights and tv.
So, I get to move to a different apartment on the third floor of my complex

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
You've got to haul all your stuff up to the third floor, and you think the burglar has much fail?
I had a similar experience when I was back at seminary school...someone walked right in through my unlocked front door. Fortunately, the front door was unlocked because we had passed out in the living room. When we woke up, he muttered something about "Oh, sorry, wrong apartment" and then went and found another unlocked door in another apartment where they either weren't home, or slept more soundly.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
I don't have a whole lot of heavy stuff to move upstairs, but hey, good exercise, and an even BETTER peace (piece?) of mind for myself.
I hate living on the first floor. it's so easy to break in the front and walk out the back with any loot. It's much more difficult to do so from the second or third floor.
I would have been really freaked out if I saw someone break into my place like you did.

We didn't even have time to freak out. We were rather inebriated and promptly passed back out. The freak out didn't happen until the next day, when we heard about the other apartment getting robbed, and realized we probably hadn't been "accidentally" walked in on.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
Someone stole our hookah pipe off of our second floor balcony (somehow).
Here I thought we were safe from that kind of hoop-lah since we weren't on the ground!

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
So, I decided to try a Monster energy drink today. Being a coffee lover, I chose the Java flavor. It was refreshingly pleasant.
I am going to some friends house to watch "School of Rock" now. I'm not a big Jack Black fan, but they convinced me it was a good laugh. My sense of humor is usually eccentric, but I am open. I despised "Nacho Libre".
I will bring back a report.

It's actually not a bad flick. A sort of 'feel-good' movie, too.
Annnnnd, Jack Black is amazing!

I'm still pretty offended about the whole incident. Goodness-knows we'd left it out there (for the coal to burn out completely) overnight plenty of times; then one morning, it was just G-O-N-E! I'm still perplexed at how exactly they managed it.
