Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
I will take your advice, KB. I already had a stalker here once and a few other altercations. What is wrong with this country/world? I was thinking about it driving home from the Greek Festival. Made me want to move back to Greece.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
Welcome back. Hope the Festival was able to get your mind off of it, at least just a little.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
I will take a break and call the police. I think that was sound advice. But I just feel so dejected right now. What is wrong with people? I am sitting here crying like a baby. I have been working and paying my way since I was 7 years old. I really don't ask for much in this life. I don't dream big like a lot of people do. How about a safe place to live and the money to pay the bills? Is that SO much to ask for?

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
I bought two beautiful Greek dresses with money I don't have and watched some dancers from Crete, the island I used to live on in Greece many years ago. It made me want to go back. You know, if not for my cats and snakes I could just go anywhere I want. I could be a massage therapist in the Caribbean or on a cruise ship. I hate it here. I hate the people. They are so rude and inconsiderate. I can't even get in the car with 90% of the people around here because they all gab on their cell phones while driving, and it makes me feel unsafe. I came home and some yin yang was blasting their TV so loud that you could hear it down the street.
Thank you for letting me vent. Sorry to be so negative. I'm still crying.

Very sorry this happened to you, Sherri. I think KB gave great advice.
How was the festival?

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
I enjoyed the festival and met some nice people. But I'm really upset right now. The police are on their way over (thank you, Sarah). I know they won't be able to do anything, but maybe their presence in the neighborhood will help.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
I think things will only get worse around here. It really pees me off because I sold my first condo to get out of a ghetto neighborhood. I paid top dollar for this place because of the good neighborhood. And now it's turning into a ghetto too. Is there any place you can live where people are decent? I'm starting to wonder.

Montana has less than a million people in the whole state. Less people equals less crime (not that there isn't any), less police, and less traffic.
There are some areas around here where you could go and disappear. Either you disappear because no one really goes that far into the woods, or you disappear because you stumbled upon someone's place, and that someone doesn't want anyone else to know about it.
You need a road trip.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
You know I have considered Montana because I have a very good friend up there. But I don't think I could take the cold. I don't think my car could take the cold. Also, I don't think my animals could make the trip. I don't know what I'd do for work or how I'd pay the bills.

You should visit your friend and inquire about massage opportunities while you are there/here. Folks in MT like to get rubbed too. I know a couple of ladies who do it.
And...doesn't it get cold and snow there too?

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
Stargazer had me for breakfast this morning, and we've been up all night so far without a wink of sleep...
I'll let her fill you guys in on the details later; I'm too worn out.
Nite!

Not as cold as up there. And it melts off quickly. I doubt I could make a living doing just massage. Never have been able to. My taste in clothing and cat/snake accessories is way too expensive.

Nite, my special one. Yes, that breakfast was great. I was tempted to even have a cigarette afterward, and I don't smoke. And as for the rest? You really wore me out tonight, Karley. Phew.

Always get a report # for each time you contact them, and get a copy of the report if possible. It is very important that you do this, so that if things escalate (ie a break-in, or the exterior of your condo vandalized, etc.), you have record that this problem started on such and such a date, at that specific time, and you will have a better chance of having resolution, both with the law enforcement, and with your insurance. If you don't report anything, something happens, and you bring it up that other things have happened already, that will lessen your chances of justice, because you didn't report the things leading up to the eventual problem. I hope that nothing comes of this, but you need to CYA just in case. Failing to report a crime (or the threat of a crime, or something that makes you think the might be a crime eventually) can lead to problems for you in the long run.
.
Personally, I wouldn't bother with your neighbors, unless you are good friends with them, because if you are not, they may contribute to it just to be mean.
.
I'm sorry you're going through this, and I hope that it stops. I hope my advise helped, and we're here if you need to talk.
|
I'm glad you took this advice, Star. You'd be surprised what a paper-trail can do for you in a situation like this, if was ever to escalate. Even if it seems the cops aren't really doing anything, just that record of your report would go a long way to your advantage in the long run.
